Ferrymead Fun times!

Yesterday we went to a place called ferrymead and we had to get changed into a suit we got to do activity's we went to the movie it was a bit funny and it was black and white and then it was morning tea we had cracker's and morning tea was very yummy and the last thing we did is we went on the tram but before that we played touch, the team's were kinda unfair. But I was okay with it. And then after that we had to go back to school that adventure was good.

I am in a small cabin the boat is rocking back and forth. People are getting sea sick because the weather is really bad. It is cold and i can't wait to get to this island called New Zealand. I just wonder what will be on it. There might be coconut's and they will taste good well not taste but we will drink it!

The trip to the museum

Yesterday i went to the museum it was fun we got to do stuff like there was a thing it's like a drill but made out of wood there's a rope you tie the rope then you pull it out and pull it back in then it make's a hole it is very usefull to use and there was a axe but it was not an axe it was green stone we got to take ten hit's it was very fun. And then when it was eat time we would eat our food and then after we would stop eating and we would play for some minutes and then we found this big tree but a teacher told everyone to get out. so we did but then a few minutes later she said that we could go into the tree it was so big and there was like a door but not any kind of door like a grassy door you would go though and there was thees big massive branches and we could climb up them but not too high the teacher said that. we still had fun we played a tackle game it was fun we called it fbi well it is a team. My favourite part of the museum  it was the tree because we got to climb the branches it was fun. Here is a question have you ever gone to the museum?

Super Soccer

At school we get the choice to do winter sports like rugby and netball and football. my team have really lost every game oh and a friend is in my team we have won one game the week after that game we had a bye so we did not play football that day so we played football at school with out doing work... well after the people left for their game we did do a little bit of work and then we went to the back of the school and so we played football there.

Over the season I got better at receiving the other person's pass and I tried to get better at goalie.
I got a couple of goals but I don't know who won my team or the other team but i think my team won?So yeah i do not know what the score was? So yeah i won. Oh and I forgot to say my name my name is Blake  and now i am signing off, next year my fingers are crossed to play rugby.

What sport are you good it?

Lego!

On Monday we got to play with Lego in our hub it was really fun we got to do challenges there was three challenges were make a bridge that can hold so many book's and when there all ready to put the case on the book's to see if it would break or it would lose it's balance and just fall. And there is another challenge it is called the tower challenge so you have to build a tower with Lego and then when you are ready you can combine yours to another tower to make yours bigger. And finally this challenge is called build a Lego car and race with your partner whoever wins they... Um just win and some people made it to the wall.

Recycling in China

In reading this term our focus has been looking at articles around Climate Change. We have been trying to find what the main idea was and why it was important.

Here are my ideas:

Lots of countries are sending their rubbish to China, in 2018 China decided to change what rubbish they would accept. Companies didn't want the trash to go around the world and it costs a lot of money to recycle.

Kindness games.

PBL - Term 1

This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about kindness and the big question was: How can we build community through our actions?

First, we explored some collaborative activities and discussed how we could include kindness and build a sense of community through our actions at camp. Next, we were organised into groups where we had to unpack the above question. In our groups we considered how we could spread community and kindness through our entire school community. We decided that we would offer something that was free and would make others happy.

We created an action plan and our group talked about different ideas, the girls decided to do something different and the boys and I decided to do games.


Reflection:
For our final product our group took out 20 Paiaka students out for multisport.

I contributed by helping the rest of my team.

I think the PBL might impact on others by making them happy and they are going to feel included.

What I learned about working with others was it can be a little bit difficult because they sometimes don't always listen. Next time I would do a bit more and say my ideas.
