Kia ora, I am a student at St Francis of Assisi School, Welcome - Haere Mai. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note my work may include spelling or other errors because some of it will be my first drafts. Kindness games.
This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about kindness and the big question was: How can we build community through our actions?
First, we explored some collaborative activities and discussed how we could include kindness and build a sense of community through our actions at camp. Next, we were organised into groups where we had to unpack the above question. In our groups we considered how we could spread community and kindness through our entire school community. We decided that we would offer something that was free and would make others happy.
We created an action plan and our group talked about different ideas, the girls decided to do something different and the boys and I decided to do games.
Reflection:
For our final product our group took out 20 Paiaka students out for multisport.
I contributed by helping the rest of my team.
I think the PBL might impact on others by making them happy and they are going to feel included.
What I learned about working with others was it can be a little bit difficult because they sometimes don't always listen. Next time I would do a bit more and say my ideas.
1 comment:
To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - Begin with a greeting. Talk about something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A comment that will mean something to me to let me know you read/watched or listened to what I had to say. - use any language.
3. Something helpful - Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
Encourage me to make another post
Kia ora Blake. I liked how you were very descriptive and described what PBL means. Did you think about telling us about what the activity's were? Next time you could add a bit more detail on what you did. Good job! :)
